Chapter 7 BLOG

Chapter 7, Media Relations talks about how public relations deals with the impacts the media can make. Media influence is so powerful and can make a lasting impression on how a person views something. In some cases where the Media only concentrate on the "bad news" or just one side of the story that they think will get them higher ratings can be hurtful to a person or company's reputation. Its the public relations team to stratgically clean up the mess the media can make or prevent it from getting any more out of hand. For example, with the Syringe in the Pepsi can case, even though there were so many claims from people finding objects in thier drinks, when the public relation team took it into their hands and brought evidence to back them up, what else could people believe if the truth was clear and staring them in their face.
